What should he emphasize?Obama should focus on his accomplishments and the improving economy, and then on how I will uphold his policies and legacy as President.
- To what extent will you attack Donald Trump for the rhetoric he has used about Mexicans, Muslims, women, and other groups?I am going to be pretty explicit in calling out the rhetoric and demagoguery of Donald Trump throughout this election.
- To what extent will you attack Donald Trump for the controversy surrounding Trump University?We have a civil case in progress which will draw plenty of attention to this matter. I have plenty of other things to attack Donald Trump over.
- What message will you emphasize about the political views of Donald Trump on economic and budget issues?I have opposed the Trans-Pacific Partnership for many of the same reasons that Trump brings up. The bipartisan support for free trade that he inveighs against simply doesn't exist.
- Would you consider making a pledge to, if elected, serve a single term as President?That's absurd. Of course not.
- Are you still opposed to the Trans-Pacific Partnership? Would you pursue further trade agreements as President?I would encourage Democrats in Congress to oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership when it comes to a vote.
- To what extent will you campaign with Barack Obama, or support his presence on the campaign trail this year?I am my own candidate. We need to minimize how much we are associated with the Obama Administration during this campaign.
- Donald Trump is attacking you almost daily on your 2002 vote in favor of the Iraq War. How do you plan to respond?We would have stabilized Iraq and won a great victory there, if we hadn't pulled out so hastily.
- Do you stand by your position, voiced during the primaries, that you will not deport any illegal immigrant who has not otherwise committed a crime?This is my preferred position. But unfortunately, it looks as though the courts will rule that Obama has gone too far.
- Do you have plans to emphasize a path to universal health care in your campaign?I will repeat my opinion that the goal is desirable, but impractical in our current political environment.

Do you have anything to say about these tactics?Donald Trump's words go against everything our nation stands for, but I don't think it's correct or helpful to disrupt his rallies or to shout epithets at his supporters.

What are your thoughts?I believe, regardless of how we feel about Donald Trump, that he won his party's nomination and should not be challenged in this manner.
- Do you plan to participate in the traditional three debates, between yourself and Donald Trump?We shouldn't dignify Donald Trump's views with a debate. I will decline to participate in them.
- What was your rationale behind selecting Sherrod Brown as your running mate?Sherrod Brown has a record as one of the most progressive members in the Senate, and he has fought for his home state of Ohio for his entire career.
- The FBI has recommended the indictment of several of your aides, based on classified intelligence which they obtained from secure facilities and emailed to you. Do you have any comment?This is yet another example, like Benghazi or many others, of a politically motivated witch hunt. I support my associates completely, and fully expect to see their names cleared before this is done.
- What is your position on gun control?The Second Amendment, people. I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.
- Do you support the construction of a 20-foot wall along the entire length of the U.S.-Mexico border?We're going to build the wall, and Mexico is going to pay for it.
- Do you believe that the Senate should confirm Merrick Garland, an Obama appointee, to the Supreme Court?You can't confirm him. We've got to let the people decide this November.
