    Returning Elian to Cuba was unconscionable. I did not support this decision by the Clinton Administration.

    The bombing of Serbia killed many innocent civilians and increased antagonism with Russia and China. I believe military intervention should be a last resort.

    I have no plan to cut taxes. If anything, we might need some increases to strengthen Social Security.

    This attack was a tragedy, but it underscores the need to the United States to have a more limited foreign policy. The Cold War is over, and it doesn't make sense to deploy troops in so many parts of the world.

    I support increased federal hate crime legislation. No American should ever feel like a target of intimidation because of their identity.

    We need to renew the Assault Weapons Ban and make it permanent. I support other measures such as trigger locks to reduce gun violence in this country.

    We have worked for years with many other countries to negotiate this agreement. I support the environment and believe the Protocol should be ratified.

    The United States is much too entangled in the Middle East. We should pull back from the region and end sanctions in Iraq. I might remind people that these sanctions have killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children.

    I oppose these plans. The ANWR is an environmental treasure of the United States, and the oil gained from any exploitation will be relatively limited.

    To defend against whom? The Cold War is over and we should be working with Russia, not against them. This is just more unnecessary military spending.

    The two parties are almost the same on every major issue. Neither supports meaningful campaign finance reform, universal health care, free college education, a peaceful foreign policy, or the protection of American workers. I present a true alternative to the American people.

    I will focus extensively on how Republicans and Democrats alike have betrayed the American worker through trade agreements like NAFTA and a lack of protection for American industry. My campaign will focus on opponents of globalization who have no one else to vote for.

    This is the type of non-issue that is indicative of the broken American political system. George Bush was wrong for America before this news broke, and he is still wrong for America.
