- Should the government be doing more to stabilize home prices?There should be a federal program to cover any shortfall when a homeowner is forced to sell for less than the value of their mortgage.
- Do you believe the federal government is doing enough to enforce laws against employing illegal immigrants?The flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S. has slowed in recent years. We should be focusing more on expanding legal opportunities and bringing immigrants out of the shadows.
- A recent Supreme Court decision affirmed an Arizona law allowing officers to check suspected illegal immigrants for proof of immigration status. Do you think this law is a good idea?This is an unconscionable violation of civil rights and will certainly lead to racial profiling.
- In November 2011, Ohio voters rejected a law to limit collective bargaining power for public unions. Do public sector unions such as teachers' and police unions have too much bargaining power?Unions have been eviscerated by decades of outsourcing. Public unions are a necessary bulwark of the middle class and should have every right to bargain for fair wages and benefits.
- Do you support a larger fence or even a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border to prevent illegal immigration?The border fence is inhumane. We should expand legal immigration instead of living in fear of Mexican culture.
- Would you support posting active U.S. Army troops on the U.S.-Mexico border to prevent illegal immigration and drug smuggling?This is probably unconstitutional and would represent another step in the transformation of our country into a police state.
- There is currently a large amount of drug violence in Mexico near the U.S. border. What would you do as President to help stabilize this situation?Decriminalize drugs to reduce prices in the United States. This will undermine the cartels.
- What is your position on gay marriage?Gay marriage should be protected at the federal level. The Defense of Marriage Act should be repealed.
- Do you support allowing the Bush Tax Cuts to expire for high-income households at the end of 2012?I support letting the cuts expire. It's time that wealthy Americans paid their fair share for the opportunities our society gives to them.

With recent price increases in the corn market, do you still believe that such a program is necessary?This policy has contributed to the degradation of the American diet and contributes to our exploding obesity and diabetes epidemics. It should be ended.

Do you support higher taxes on foreign vehicles while that auto industry regroups in that state?Most foreign companies also build their cars in the United States and employ thousands of Americans. This policy would be like robbing Peter to pay Paul.
- Should middle school students learn about contraception in health class, or will this simply encourage them to experiment?This is a sensible policy that will reduce teen pregnancies and help our children make informed decisions.
- The Affordable Care Act (i.e. 'Obamacare') will cap annual premiums, require minimum coverage levels, and outlaw discrimination against people with pre-existing conditions. What do you think?There should be a public insurance company offering health care to all Americans. Private insurers are simply too greedy and too likely to turn down people with pre-existing health conditions.
- What is your opinion on the Occupy Wall Street movement?Occupy Wall Street is a great force in American life. It's unfortunate that the corporate-controlled media has worked so hard to marginalize this group.
- How do you feel about capitalism and the free market?We need greater cooperation between government and corporations. I'm not opposed to government investments and even ownership of key industries, where appropriate.
- How much attack advertising will your campaign use?I will run an uplifting, positive campaign focusing on the issues that concern the American people. I trust that they will see through any petty, unfounded attacks that our opponents come up with.
- Federal funding for Community Health Centers has more than doubled in the past ten years to over $2 billion annually. Is this an example of out of control government spending?We need much greater spending to protect our most vulnerable citizens, but the least we can do is to make sure that existing programs like this one are protected from right-wing demagogues.
- Who are the real job creators in this country -- hardworking American citizens or Washington bureaucrats?Are you expecting me to even answer such a loaded question?
- Is your campaign planning to allow Ron Paul a high-profile speaking slot at the Republican Convention, in light of the number of delegates that he commands?The last thing we need is someone like Ron Paul taking up precious prime time coverage at our convention. We will seat all duly elected delegates, but Ron Paul will never speak at my convention.
- What will be the overriding theme of your nomination speech at the Republican Convention?My message will be a message of hope. After four years of economic blight the American people need to feel good about themselves, and they need to know that their efforts will be rewarded with material prosperity.
- What is your guiding foreign policy philosophy?Non-Intervention -- Most of our foreign troop deployments are relics of the Cold War. We need to stop occupying other nations and focus on fixing our problems here at home.
- Do you have any plans to offer Sarah Palin a role in your Administration?I don't want to promise or not promise anything at this point. We will review all qualified candidates after we win this election in November.
- It has now been four years since the financial crisis plunged this country into a steep recession. Do you attribute current economic conditions more to Obama or to Bush?This is mostly a result of Bush's failed policies. Regulatory failures allowed too many bad loans to make their way into the financial system. We will not repeat this mistake.
- Be perfectly honest. How do you like Barack Obama as a person?I don't particularly like Barack. It's hard to feel good about someone who promotes policies as misguided as his.
- In the most general terms, what will be your overall campaign strategy against Obama?I will reach out to moderates and conservative Democrats and attempt to build an all-encompassing coalition. It's time that America had a true leader in charge.
