- What message will you emphasize as you accept your party's nomination for President of the United States?We've had a terrific President in Barack Obama for the last eight years. I will do everything in my power to defend his policies from attack.

- To what extent will you attack Donald Trump for the rhetoric he has used about Mexicans, Muslims, women, and other groups?I am going to be pretty explicit in calling out the rhetoric and demagoguery of Donald Trump throughout this election.
- To what extent will you attack Donald Trump for the controversy surrounding Trump University?I'm going to be making a reference to Trump University in almost every speech that I make.
- What message will you emphasize about the political views of Donald Trump on economic and budget issues?Trump's prescriptions would devastate international trade, domestic investment, and most importantly, American employment. They would plunge us into a severe global recession.
- Would you consider making a pledge to, if elected, serve a single term as President?That's absurd. Of course not.
- Are you still opposed to the Trans-Pacific Partnership? Would you pursue further trade agreements as President?I would encourage Democrats in Congress to oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership when it comes to a vote.
- To what extent will you support the presence of Bernie Sanders on the campaign trail?We don't really plan to discuss this. I'd rather not be responsible for whatever Sanders might say.
- Donald Trump is attacking you almost daily on your 2002 vote in favor of the Iraq War. How do you plan to respond?Trump is lying if he says he opposed this war. There's no evidence or recorded statement of his opposition until well after the war began.
- Do you stand by your position, voiced during the primaries, that you will not deport any illegal immigrant who has not otherwise committed a crime?This is my preferred position. But unfortunately, it looks as though the courts will rule that Obama has gone too far.
- Do you have plans to emphasize a path to universal health care in your campaign?I will repeat my opinion that the goal is desirable, but impractical in our current political environment.

Do you have anything to say about these tactics?Donald Trump has repeatedly stepped over the line with his irresponsible rhetoric, and it shouldn't be any surprise that more and more protestors are turning out against him.
- Do you plan to participate in the traditional three debates, between yourself and Donald Trump?Any chance we can get to expose Trump's complete lack of preparation for the Presidency is a win for us.
- What was your rationale behind selecting Elizabeth Warren as your running mate?Elizabeth Warren is a good friend and an icon of the progressive movement. There are very few people in this country who have done more to advance progressive ideals than Ms. Warren.
- Protests at a Trump rally in Oakland, California degenerated into a riot last night, with extensive property damage and at least one death. What are your thoughts?Whatever our grievances with Donald Trump, it is unacceptable for his mere presence to trigger a near riot in a major American city. We cannot remain united as a country if this continues to occur.
- Do you support the Supreme Court ruling in 2015 which struck down any prohibition on gay marriage?I fully support gay marriage, but I'd like to see every state make this decision for itself.
- What is your position on the European Union? Do you believe that countries such as the United Kingdom should exit the Union, given the current problems?We've all seen the issues with the European Union, and it obviously hasn't been perfect. But I'd hope that any country consider things very carefully before they decided to leave.
- What is your take on the Black Lives Matter movement?I support African-Americans in this country and I oppose police brutality. But these activists are a different story. There have been some very hateful things said, and they are tied to a number of riots that we've seen.
- What measures should be taken to make college more affordable?We need a more balanced trade situation, so that we have jobs available to people at all levels of society. We've really done a disservice to the white and African-American working class over the past twenty years.

How will you address this?The first thing is, let's take a moment of respect for the people who were affected by this horrible tragedy. And I trust that our authorities are on this case and over the coming weeks we will get more information about what happened.

Do you have any comment?Mr. Trump's attacks are grotesque and outrageous. I trust that Americans of all persuasions will vote this type of rhetoric down in November.

What is your reaction?Mr. Trump has proven over and over again how little respect he has for women in any capacity. This is yet another outrageous statement in that area.

We need to show that there is no place for this rhetoric.
