- Where will you spend your final day of the campaign?Virginia and North Carolina
- What message will you emphasize as you accept your party's nomination for President of the United States?We've had a terrific President in Barack Obama for the last eight years. I will do everything in my power to defend his policies from attack.
- Will you give Bernie Sanders a prime speaking slot at the Democratic Convention?Let's give the keynote address to Elizabeth Warren. Mr. Sanders will speak as well, but I think emphasizing Ms. Warren will be a good middle-ground.
- Barack Obama is looking to you for pointers on the content of his convention speech, to make sure it is congruent with your campaign strategy. What should he emphasize?Obama should focus on his accomplishments and the improving economy, and then on how I will uphold his policies and legacy as President.
- To what extent will you attack Donald Trump for the rhetoric he has used about Mexicans, Muslims, women, and other groups?I will remind the American people that I am a uniter, and that I will make our country whole again. I think the message will be pretty clear.
- To what extent will you attack Donald Trump for the controversy surrounding Trump University?We'll bring up Trump University whenever Trump attacks us. Maybe it will get him to shut up for a bit.
- What message will you emphasize about the political views of Donald Trump on economic and budget issues?Free trade and globalization have been a huge driver of economic growth over the past 25 years.
- Would you consider making a pledge to, if elected, serve a single term as President?I believe that nothing would better unite our party than a pledge like this. Perhaps it will help progressives to support me now, if they can plan on running their own candidate in 2020.
- Do you have plans to emphasize a path to universal health care in your campaign?We need to do something to drive turnout and keep Sanders supporters off of the sidelines. I will pledge to fight for universal health care as President.
- Many left-wing groups are organizing huge protests at Donald Trump's rallies, some of which involve blocking traffic or forcing the cancellation of speeches. Do you have anything to say about these tactics?Donald Trump's words go against everything our nation stands for, but I don't think it's correct or helpful to disrupt his rallies or to shout epithets at his supporters.
- In the wake of Trump's nomination, a number of prominent anti-Trump Republicans are organizing to cast votes for Libertarian Gary Johnson as a protest, with an emphasis on the Western states. What are your thoughts?I believe, regardless of how we feel about Donald Trump, that he won his party's nomination and should not be challenged in this manner.
- Do you plan to participate in the traditional three debates, between yourself and Donald Trump?Any chance we can get to expose Trump's complete lack of preparation for the Presidency is a win for us.
- What was your rationale behind selecting Sherrod Brown as your running mate?Sherrod Brown has a record as one of the most progressive members in the Senate, and he has fought for his home state of Ohio for his entire career.
- While giving a speech today, Donald Trump suddenly stopped speaking and appeared to briefly faint. A Secret Service agent supported him, and he came to and quickly finished the speech. Do you have any comment?I wouldn't be concerned about this. I'm 68 years old, and Mr. Trump is 70, and there is always the odd moment at that age. It doesn't mean there's any serious underlying issue.
- The FBI has recommended the indictment of several of your aides, based on classified intelligence which they obtained from secure facilities and emailed to you. Do you have any comment?I will immediately apologize for any lapses that occurred while I was Secretary of State, and will pledge to do anything possible to cooperate moving forward, so that we can get to the bottom of this.
- Do you support the recent nuclear deal between the United States and Iran?I support this deal, but I will work very hard as President to see that it is aggressively enforced.
- What is your opinion of Barack Obama's performance as President?I'm proud that we were able to elect an African-American as President in this country. I really am. But we need to focus on the future now, and not on what may have gone right or wrong the last few years.
- Do you support the recent reopening of relations with Cuba?I fully support Barack Obama's actions in regards to Cuba.
- Do you support the practice of fracking? What is your overall view on energy policy?Until green energy technologies are ready to shoulder the load, we need help from oil and fracking.
- What is your position on the European Union? Do you believe that countries such as the United Kingdom should exit the Union, given the current problems?The European Union has been a complete disaster, and I can't blame any country, especially the United Kingdom, that would want out.
- Do you have plans to take in more than the current level of 10,000 refugees per annum from the conflict in Syria?We'll take as many refugees as Saudi Arabia takes. And in any case, we're going to helping out with a safe zone in Syria to protect vulnerable people.
- There has been a coordinated, violent terrorist attack on London today, resulting in the death of at least 100 people. How will you address this?We're going to find whoever did this and bring them to justice. And let us remember, our country is at its best when we stand united. Islam is a religion of peace, and we only encourage the spread of terrorism if we overreact against innocent, patriotic Americans in the wake of this.
- There has been a coordinated, violent terrorist attack on Berlin today, resulting in the death of at least 100 people. How will you address this?The first thing is, let's take a moment of respect for the people who were affected by this horrible tragedy. And I trust that the European authorities are on this case and over the coming weeks we will get more information about what happened.
- Donald Trump is regularly floating the accusation that Bill Clinton had a male child with an African-American hooker in Little Rock, and that both of you have conspired to bury the story. Do you have any comment?Mr. Trump's attacks are grotesque and outrageous. I trust that Americans of all persuasions will vote this type of rhetoric down in November.
- To what extent will you attack Donald Trump for any number of statements he has made about women in his past, including in this election cycle?Mr. Trump's gross and outlandish rhetoric should disgust any decent, hard-working women in our society. We need to show that there is no place for this rhetoric.
