Workers, particularly those in labor unions, enjoy high purchasing power and an ever-expanding lifestyle. Economic growth throughout the 1960s has been outstanding.

I support programs such as busing, affirmative action, the new HUD department, and anything else that is necessary to integrate all regions of the United States.

Would you support this as President?This is one of the most dangerous ideas I can think of. A federal agency to combat pollution will hurt business, increase unemployment, and undermine the wages of our workers.

From Brown v. Board of Education up through the present day, he has been nothing but an agent of tyranny for the federal government.

Arizona?Over the past five years we've sent a message to criminals that their rights are more important than the rights of law-abiding Americans. I don't know how anyone was surprised at the rioting and social chaos that we've seen since then.
- Would you appoint federal judges who support the decision Engel v. Vitale outlawing mandatory school prayer?This decision was atrocious. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that our way of life is at stake here when we don't allow our schools to teach basic moral values to our children.
- What do you think of programs that require schools to use busing to achieve racial balance?What good is a Court decision banning segregation if we don't actually do something to integrate our schools? People oppose busing because they oppose school integration, pure and simple.
- If elected as President, what would you do to lower the inflation rate in this country, which currently stands at over 4%?The Republicans are grasping at straws with this inflation argument. They know that Kennedy and Johnson have managed the economy far better than Eisenhower, so they are resorting to the only argument they have left.
- Did you support Lyndon Johnson's 1965 intervention in the Dominican Republic?I wish we would have had the guts to intervene in Cuba the way we did in the Dominican Republic. I will do anything I can as President to prevent a Communist insurgency in Latin America.

Do you believe that stricter enforcement against pollutants is necessary, or does the current law suffice?This is another case of pointy-headed intellectualism that will regulate our factories right out of business and kill the jobs of the working man.

These practices are the tools of left-wingers and Communists who wish to undermine our society.

Do you support the liberalization of international trade under the GATT?I support these international trade negotiations, but we must be sure that we don't undermine the rights of our own unions with one-sided agreements.
- Do we need more spending in the War on Poverty, especially in light of the riots since 1965?The War on Poverty is a national disgrace. It is a program that steals from the productive to finance the lazy and the shiftless.

Nixon swears to you on his honor that he is innocent. Will you make this an issue over the last two days of the campaign?This is bordering on treason. The American people deserve to hear about this.
- What will be the overall message of your campaign?I am a serious candidate for President of the United States. I will protect law-abiding Americans from social disorder and I will win the war in Vietnam.
- Do you plan to make a strong effort in any of the non-Southern states?I am a national candidate, and my law-and-order appeal is universal. I will travel into the North and the West and campaign for any voter who is concerned about the future of our country.
- What can you say to the people of the South to dampen the appeal of Richard Nixon?I have more credibility than Nixon does on the issues of law-and-order. I trust that southerners will see through his empty appeals on this issue.
- Will you try to compete with Johnson and Humphrey's machine in Texas?Texas should be fertile ground for the George Wallace message. If Humphrey and Johnson get into a rift, I think we've got a real shot in that state. I will try my best to win it.
- What is more important to you -- competing with Nixon in the border states (to help Humphrey) or winning over Humphrey voters in the northern cities (to help Nixon)?It looks like Nixon is the favorite, so I'm going to focus most of my efforts on campaigning where he's ahead.
- If there is no majority in the electoral college, what are your goals at the bargaining table?There's not a dime's worth of difference between the Democrats and Republicans. My goal is to win this election outright.
