Answers:

  • What message will you emphasize as you accept your party's nomination for President of the United States?
I will promise to the convention floor that I am a true conservative on gun rights, abortion, taxes, and many other issues. It would be terrible if we let these issues divide us in the face of Hillary Clinton.
  • To what extent will you attack Bill Clinton's history of infidelity, impeachment, and so on as you campaign?
We need to elevate the tone of this campaign. I'm not going to continue digging into these old issues.
  • To what extent will you attack Hillary Clinton's equivocation on the Benghazi attacks in 2012?
We're going to be mentioning Benghazi a lot in our campaign.
  • To what extent will you attack Hillary Clinton's decision to set up a private email server in her home, while Secretary of State?
The American people are sick and tired of hearing about Clinton's emails.
  • To what extent will you attack Hillary Clinton's 2002 vote to authorize the war in Iraq?
This invasion was one of the biggest disasters in the history of the United States. We're going to dredge up a lot of memories about this before our campaign is through.
  • To what extent will you attack Hillary Clinton for her changing views on gay marriage, criminal justice, illegal immigration, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, or other issues?
We've both changed our opinions about things in the past. Let's be judicious about the attacks that we make.
  • What do you have to say in response to allegations that your Trump University used a number of unethical practices?
It's a minor civil case, pursued by a few disgruntled people for political purposes. Most people were very satisfied with Trump University.
  • Do you plan to repeat the rhetoric you used about Mexican immigrants when announcing your campaign?
I'll say whatever comes to mind at a given moment. But the thing is, we're going to get Mexico to build a wall, and then we're going to do something to reform the immigration system.
  • Do you still hold a pro-life position on abortion? What do you have to say about previous incarnations of your views on that subject?
I think we can do everything we can to discourage abortion. But I'd say it depends ... if we're talking about making abortion illegal then that's a different story. You can be pro-life without saying it should be illegal.
  • Will you stand by your calls to keep all Muslims from entering the United States?
I never meant that I was going to keep all Muslims from entering the United States. All I meant, was that we can't have people coming here with possible ties to ISIS until we figure out what's going on.
  • In the wake of your nomination, a number of prominent anti-Trump Republicans are organizing to cast votes for Libertarian Gary Johnson as a protest, with an emphasis on the Western states. What are your thoughts?
My conservative credentials are beyond all question. It's really just sour grapes, and not accepting the will of the Republican voters in the primaries which is driving this.
  • Do you plan to participate in the traditional three debates, between yourself and Hillary Clinton?
At this point, it's hard to have any faith that the media will moderate these debates in an impartial manner. I will buy a half hour of time on every major network and make my case directly to the people.
  • What was your rationale behind selecting Scott Brown as your running mate?
Scott Brown did a tremendous job in the Senate. And, you know, its a shame that we can't get more people like him elected from the so-called blue states.
  • At a Trump rally today, a deranged supporter fired at several protestors before he was tackled. Are these rallies getting out of hand?
I've reluctantly decided to stop hosting large public rallies until we can figure out what's going on.
  • What actions would you take in Syria to help stabilize the situation there, and to combat ISIS?
We need to send American troops to Syria to eradicate ISIS once and for all.
  • Do you support the construction of a 20-foot wall along the entire length of the U.S.-Mexico border?
This is one of the most far-fetched ideas that I've heard in my political career.
  • Do you support the Supreme Court ruling in 2015 which struck down any prohibition on gay marriage?
This decision was a milestone for equality in our country. I will appoint judges who feel the same way about it.
  • Do you support any type of comprehensive immigration reform, and if so, to what extent?
I will push for comprehensive immigration reform within 100 days of taking office. This will bring security to millions of families and make it harder for companies to exploit foreign workers.
  • What are the next steps that the United States should take to combat global warming?
We need to extend our tax credits for green energy installations, and increase the amount of spending on research. We also need to take active steps to reduce carbon emissions.
  • How concerned are you about the $17 trillion debt that the United States currently owes?
Barack Obama has reduced the deficit of this country by over half since his first year in office, and I will do anything I can to continue his policies.
  • What is your take on the Black Lives Matter movement?
I believe that black lives matter. I fully support this group in their objectives. They are the civil rights group of our time.
  • What measures should be taken to make college more affordable?
I will do everything in my power to make a four-year degree available without cost to the students of tomorrow.
  • Where will you spend your final day of the campaign?
    Florida
  • To what extent will you connect the dots between the Clintons' support of free trade and tough sentencing, and the huge unemployment in the black community?
I think we have more to lose than to gain by going after the black vote heavily. So many Republican politicians have proven the futility of that course of action.
  • Are there any personal attacks you would like to throw at Bill and Hillary Clinton over the next few months?
We can't even be sure that Bill is Chelsea Clinton's father. There are a lot of good arguments pointing to other people on this one.
