- What was your rationale behind selecting Sherrod Brown as your running mate?Sherrod Brown has a record as one of the most progressive members in the Senate, and he has fought for his home state of Ohio for his entire career.
- The FBI has recommended the indictment of several of your aides, based on classified intelligence which they obtained from secure facilities and emailed to you. Do you have any comment?This is yet another example, like Benghazi or many others, of a politically motivated witch hunt. I support my associates completely, and fully expect to see their names cleared before this is done.
- In a hearing today, a New York judge has set the trial date for the Trump University lawsuit to August of this year. Do you have any comment?I'm not surprised. Trump has been less than honest in any number of areas throughout his life.
- What is your position on gun control?We need to hold gun stores accountable when their weapons are used in violent crime. We need extensive measures to keep guns off the streets and away from criminals.
- Do you support the construction of a 20-foot wall along the entire length of the U.S.-Mexico border?This is one of the most far-fetched ideas that I've heard in my political career.
- Do you have plans to take in more than the current level of 10,000 refugees per annum from the conflict in Syria?You know, Steve Jobs was a descendent of Syrian refugees. We're screening these people very carefully and we can certainly afford to take in more than 10,000.
