Answers:
- What is your overall position on the Vietnam War?I'm in no position to comment on the conduct of the war. When I'm President I will do everything in my power to seek peace, but I cannot undermine the current Administration.
- If elected, what will you do to get the student and Negro riots in this country under control?Law and order is the primary theme of my campaign. We also need to encourage investment in the ghettoes to ensure a high quality of life and prevent these occurrences.
- What is your opinion of Lyndon Johnson's new Medicare program?Medicare is the first step towards socialized medicine in this country. We need to end this program as soon as possible and return health care to the states and to the people.
- Are you satisfied with this nation's economic performance over the previous five years? Our current economic path is not sustainable. We need to continue the growth we have seen but we cannot allow this inflation we have to continue.
- Are you satisfied with the progress of desegregation in this country since the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964?Whites and Negroes are naturally unsuited to mix together in society. The entire premise of desegregation is a farce, and my campaign is dedicated to ending this misguided policy.
- Would you be willing to call an unconditional bombing halt of North Vietnam in the hopes of restarting peace negotiations? We will never win the peace in Vietnam by caving in to the Communists. I cannot support such an ill-conceived measure.
- What do you think about the efforts of the AFL-CIO and other large unions? Do they have a positive effect on America?Every man should have a choice on whether to join a union or not. These large outfits monopolize the work force and use their power to perpetrate voter fraud and to enrich their bosses.
- Do you believe that the newly implemented federal welfare programs will be effective?Ineffective, immoral, and illegal. Intellectuals in improperly influential offices are destroying the United States.
- Would you be willing to place increasing responsibility in the hands of South Vietnam for their own defense?Only if they proved themselves capable of repelling Communist aggression. The best thing we can do right now is escalate the war with more American troops.
- What is the maximum number of troops that you would commit to Vietnam?I will provide as many troops as our generals say they need. One of the reasons we are losing this war right now is because we are not fully committed to it.
- Did the Supreme Court overstep its bounds in Loving v. Virginia by declaring state miscegenation statutes unconstitutional? My God, someone has to step in and protect good order in this society. This is just another instance of federal judges taking control over an issue that's simply none of their business.
- Do you think the Department of Housing and Urban Development, newly created by Lyndon Johnson, serves a useful purpose in American life? Can we just clarify my position on all of these fancy programs Johnson created? I oppose all of them. That includes HUD which will infringe on the rights of property owners and increase crime in our working class neighborhoods.
- If elected as President, what would you do to lower the inflation rate in this country, which currently stands at over 4%?The inflation rate we have in this country speaks to the heart of the Democrats' problems in running the economy. They claim to be the party of the working man, but they are fine with debasing wages and property values with their misguided social engineering.
- What is causing the massive increase of crime in America? How will you reverse the trend? This increase in crime we see is the natural consequence of integration. I will not allow the black community in this country to get fancified notions of what they can get away with when I'm President.
- What do you think of the late Dr. Martin Luther King?Dr. King bamboozled a lot of decent Americans with his rhetoric. I don't condone what happened to him, but most people fail to realize that he was a radical redistributionist and a borderline Communist.
- What is your position on expanding the Clean Air Act of 1963? Do you believe that stricter enforcement against pollutants is necessary, or does the current law suffice? This is another case of pointy-headed intellectualism that will regulate our factories right out of business and kill the jobs of the working man.
- The unemployment rate is currently under 4%, in spite of the chaos that prevails in our nation. What will you do as president to keep unemployment low?The unemployment rate won't stay low for long if we continue to pass new regulations on housing, mining, and industrial concerns. I speak for the working man when I say that we need to get the federal government out of these areas.
- Do we need more spending in the War on Poverty, especially in light of the riots since 1965?The War on Poverty is a national disgrace. It is a program that steals from the productive to finance the lazy and the shiftless.
- On the weekend before the election, Lyndon Johnson's peace negotiations have collapsed with the North Vietnamese. Even worse, there are rumors that a Nixon operative has sabotaged the negotiations. Nixon swears to you on his honor that he is innocent. Will you make this an issue over the last two days of the campaign? We have no idea if Nixon was involved in this or not. I won't cheapen the outcome of this election and risk my own reputation with flimsy innuendo.
- What will be the overall message of your campaign?I'm opposed to desegregation, environmentalism, defeatism, social engineering, busing, declining property values, and unchecked rioting. My candidacy appeals to southerners and northerners alike.
- Do you plan to make a strong effort in any of the non-Southern states?I am a national candidate, and my law-and-order appeal is universal. I will travel into the North and the West and campaign for any voter who is concerned about the future of our country.
- What can you say to the people of the South to dampen the appeal of Richard Nixon?Richard Nixon is a California yankee and an interloper. He does not deserve the support of a decent southern man.
- What is more important to you -- competing with Nixon in the border states (to help Humphrey) or winning over Humphrey voters in the northern cities (to help Nixon)?Humphrey and the Democrats need to know in the future that they cannot ignore the due concerns of the South and win elections. I will focus on winning potential Humphrey supporters.
- If there is no majority in the electoral college, what are your goals at the bargaining table? There's not a dime's worth of difference between the Democrats and Republicans. My goal is to win this election outright.
- What is your opinion of the military draft that is currently in place? We have had a draft in place for decades. I will not accept cowardice as an excuse among the young men of America.
